Background
Freedom Flight is the world record setting expedition of two friends
Alan Honeyborne and Ricky De Agrela, who took off to fly around the world on
their microlights. They flew up Africa across Asia and down to Australia
returning along the same route to Asia and China where Alan had a fatal
accident. Ricky continued the flight but not without further incidents. Each
hurdle gave the expedition greater purpose and Ricky more determination to
continue flying. Eleven months later Ricky landed back home in Cape Town, South
Africa, achieving a world record for the expedition of the Longest Microlight
Expedition in the world. 64000km.
The Mission
Ricky is setting off on the 19th of March on the next expedition of riding a
small 250cc motorcycle from Buenos Aires to United States. The objective of the
expedition is to visit each country on the continent of South America and
Central America. This is part of his long term objective to visit each country
in the world to highlight the positive world we live in and encourage others to
pursue their adventurous goals.
